amddzz 9 Posted April 22 Posted April 22 Moonfin beta just released on tvOS! I really dislike the UI but playback has been perfect! Av1 with no stutter! No HomePod andio issues! It also has full Emby support with live tv! https://github.com/Moonfin-Client/ 1 1
Roblin1971 1 Posted April 26 Posted April 26 I've already commented elsewhere, thiss app should have way more recognition than it has.. It is absoolutely outstanding, and still being worked on. Runningit on MacOS and Android TV (Shield), both run fantastically. funnily enough, it seems a few people have the same idea for the spotlight feature
Apotropaic 69 Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Thanks for the post, I would never have come across this client app otherwise. The iOS app is certainly a fresh look, I like the information density as it makes the presentation very rich which I like. I tried the Android TV version and I'm not sure I like the speed and layout on there as much, maybe a bit too busy for my liking but hey at least it's an option for people out there. This really does need more recognition and publicity! 1
kikinjo 306 Posted April 28 Posted April 28 How does non emby developed app interacts with premium devices ? Are this devices that runs client like this couted in premiere ? It would be nice that @ebr comments on this i didn't see nothing about external apps and influence on premiere part of server. 2

From my understanding they don’t count as long as you don’t use premium features like hardware transcoding, live tv etc. But it is hard to tell what you should avoid and what not… so an enlightenment regarding this would be really helpful @ebr
Neminem 1700 Posted April 28 Posted April 28 @horstepipe@kikinjowe will never know Its Emby's business plan 1
Neminem 1700 Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Thanks for the Facepalm @kikinjowe will see if you ever get an answer from dev's

ebr 16419 Posted April 30 Posted April 30 I'm not sure why that's unclear. It would not impact the device count unless the app calls the APIs to specifically do so. I don't know what the app is doing but I would expect it is not.

I am wondering why you are dancing around a clear answer about these questions. Please lighten us up which permier features impact device limits and which don't. If a third party client wants to access live tv, does it have to send an API call which pulls a device license to work? BR 1
ebr 16419 Posted May 2 Posted May 2 I don't know how to be any more clear. The apps control the device limit reporting. Therefore, unless a 3rd party app specifically codes this in, it is not subject to the device limits.
