Ezprogram 0 Posted April 21 Posted April 21 Hi, I'm developing EmPlayer, a free Android media player on Google Play that can connect to Emby media servers using the public REST API (/Users/AuthenticateByName, /Users/{id}/Items, /Videos/{id}/stream, etc.). I have a few quick questions: Is there any licensing requirement to use the public Emby REST API in a free app that contains ads? May I mention "Emby" in the Play Store description to indicate compatibility (e.g. "supports Emby servers")? I'm not using the Emby logo and not claiming any official affiliation. Is this disclaimer sufficient: "EmPlayer is an independent third-party app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially supported by Emby Media."? The app does not redistribute any Emby code, binaries, or assets — it only communicates with user-hosted Emby servers over HTTP. Thanks!
