[EP] Metadaten fehlerhaft und korrigieren

Hi Community,

bin gerade auf emby Premiere (lifetime) gewechselt und habe bei einem aktuellen Bestand von rund 700 Filmen jetzt ein gewaltiges Problem:

• Filme habe ich sukzessive als MP4 bzw. MKV auf mein NAS hochgeladen
• Titel wie im Original
• vor kurzem emby (free) zum Testen installiert und meine Verzeichnisse gescannt
• Metadaten frage ich im Moment (noch) in allen Datenbanken ab: imdb etc

Problemstellung: 

• Einzelne Titel und allfälliges Bonusmaterial werden nicht oder falsch abgefragt. Bei z.B. "Aviator" mit L.DiCaprio, wurde eine ältere Filmversion eingetragen.
• Zwar kann ich das manuell korrigieren, ist aber bei meinem Datenbestand eine geradezu unzumutbare Aufgabe - Bilder, Titel, Beschreibung, Personen etc. korrigieren. Lästig sind vor allem die falsch gespeicherten Datenquellen (imdb etc.), die ich nicht durch neue ersetzen kann. Also muss ich den Eintrag auch noch gegen Änderungen sperren
• Toll wäre es zudem, falsche Metadaten en bloc zu löschen, ohne auch gleich den Film zu eliminieren - ist mir beim ersten Mal passiert 

Anmerkung und daher nur nebenbei - ich sammle Filme für mich alleine seit über 10 Jahren. Und da ich gelegentlich im Spital oder auf Kur verweile, möchte ich meine Sammlung (über 2000 Original-DVD/BRs) auch dort auf meinem Tablet genießen. Abgesehen davon will ich so viele Filme  vor dem Zerfall schützen, weil alles nur noch Richtung Streaming geht.

Wer könnte bzw. würde mir da bitte weiterhelfen?

Ich habe mir angewöhnt immer das Erscheinungsjahr mit in den Titel zu schreiben. Also z.B. "Aviator 2004".

Bei mir klappt es in den allermeisten Fällen.

Besten Dank für den Tipp, aber leider löst er nicht das Grundproblem. Dass bspw. Bonusmaterial wie Making-of oder Interviews mit irgendwelchen Filmtiteln versehen werden, ist eine Routinefehler in der Programmierung.

Insofern wäre es für Neukunden extrem vorteilhaft, würden Einträge als "How to's" als Tooltipps (Links) in den eher nur groben Produktbeschreibungen verfügbar. Wie gesagt - ich habe mich auf meine EDV-Erfahrung verlassen und darf jetzt meine Sammlung komplett emby-gerecht überarbeiten

In the meantime, I've read the most of the manual. So this part too. What I complain, is the lack ability of emby, to give a feedback to a movie, if it can't find the correct result like "no result found". To correct this faulty results is a very hard work and much time consuming challenge. Multiply this with about 700 movies!

I decided to find out the right IMDb-numbers und try now, to identify a movie by this code. BUT - it works at most unreliable.

Hi, in your movie list you can filter by titles that are missing movie db ids.

I know, but what shall i do with the wrong ids? The only methode i found, is to search and correct them manually (identify), including change of pictures. The rest ist hope...

Btw. - For other user: if you go to imdb.com, You can extract the id from the URL. Looks like "tt1234"

Those you have to handle manually, but you can generally avoid them with good file naming.

I would suggest using movie db id's instead since the server uses MovieDb for metadata. Imdb is not a free or open data source. If you enter the imdb id, the server will try to look that up on moviedb, but sometimes moviedb doesn't have that imdb id in their database.

IMDb has free available datas and a chargeable membership. As a private person for personal use.... (only me). If emby says that it isn't "free", than should be the query depend on the membership-code.

First result

In case of the movies: "2012 - we were warned" and "65" with Adam Driver

• "2012" - TMDB ID 14161-2012, TheTVDB ID 678, IMDB ID tt1190080
• "65" - TMDB ID 700391-65, TheTVDB ID 290290, IMDB ID tt12261776

I tried each plattform and the movies are listed. Then i tried the ID's with the identify-function. Only IMDb gave me to "2012" a short result. Identify also doesn't work in combination with Titel, Year a.s.o. Wrong or none results.

I think, this isn't for what i payed. And that's just the first bug i report.

Hi, this works just fine, what makes you think this?

Try:

Movie Title (Year)

Or enter the two fields separately into each box.

The best thing to do though would be to enter the moviedb id into the box for it though. Or whichever is the highest priority metadata fetcher that you've set in library options, that's the one I would enter into Identify. So if tvdb is configured first, then I would enter the tvdb id.
