Briefer 5 Posted April 9 Posted April 9 Hello, Is there a way to filter my movies in the Android app by SD, HDR or Dolby Vision like in the web interface? Or is there a way to create a collection or playlist in the server with all my DV movies? Thank you
js28194 43 Posted April 9 Posted April 9 (edited) Seperate them at the library / folder level: Folder Structure - F:\Media\Movies\4K F:\Media\Movies\SDR F:\Media\Movies\HDR Then you can create 3 different libraries. One called Movies that includes all 3 paths, then 2 additional ones that only include SDR / HDR respectively. If you name the movie folders identical and following the "Multi-Verison" naming structure, your main Movie library should include 3 different versions. Edited April 9 by js28194
Briefer 5 Posted April 9 Author Posted April 9 Yep, I wanted to avoid that, but I guess it is the only choice right now. Thanks
js28194 43 Posted April 9 Posted April 9 There are some sorting capabilities by video code, filesize etc, but I've never used them or how to tinker with them.
Solution visproduction 351 Posted April 10 Solution Posted April 10 Brief, Once you find a way to sort the media, it might be user friendly to add posters with a visible Dolby VIsion logo or top bar text and perhaps make a collection. You can also set the collection sort name to _dolby to show up at the beginning of the collections. https://duckduckgo.com/?q=dolby+vision+.png+logo&ia=images&iax=images
Briefer 5 Posted April 10 Author Posted April 10 Yes, I already created a collection, but I have to add the movies manually. Not an ideal solution I am afraid. 1

Latest is 2.1.45 if you want to try it out, but you may have to sideload it or get it from the beta store until ebr can get the issues straightened out with the store. The newer standard Android app v3.5.32 does have the HDR filters you're looking for though, just like the web client. 1
Briefer 5 Posted April 10 Author Posted April 10 I will sideload and test these newer versions, thanks 1

Briefer 5 Posted April 10 Author Posted April 10 (edited) Installed 3.5.28. Now I can filter but it does not play dolby vision properly it does not identify it as dolby vision. In the lg c5 I have it shows a logo when DV is recognized. It does not show it and the picture is "washed out" Btw I am using an nvidia shield pro as client Edited April 10 by Briefer

There's nothing is listed in the release notes about DV, but you could try sideloading 3.5.32.

No transcoding. I will wait for other answers and then test other version. Maybe there is something I should adjust in the settings but so far I did not find anything. 1

visproduction 351 Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Could the different Dolby Vision versions be part of the problem? Briefer 5 Posted Sunday at 05:39 PM Author Posted Sunday at 05:39 PM Hello, Sorry, I already gave up. I am using with the collection workaround. I add the videos to a collection when I download a new DV movie, that is all. cheers 1
