ZAIAC001 6 Posted Monday at 05:21 AM Posted Monday at 05:21 AM Hi, Can someone describe how does IPTV works on emby server on windows? (Specs win11, latest emby server, latest emby client from msstore, working m3u playlist) Is stream direct to source from m3u or proxied somehow? Many tv channels from my m3u requires local or special location so proxy|vpn can broke it If i open m3u on win11 (where emby server installed) stream works But in emby not Some channels infinite load and some show that region changed But how if server take ethernet connection directly from windows and with same settings (from my router) PS: Ive already try to clear all settings on router and reboot server few times. Problem still occure Log after click on few channels embyserver.txt
Luke 42270 Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Hi, we'll take a look at it. Thanks for reporting.
ZAIAC001 6 Posted 11 hours ago Author Posted 11 hours ago (edited) For now Ive installed another m3u playlist from web search And figure out one interesting behaviour: By default (attach only m3u and leave all setting as is) channels still not work But if I fill useragent field (just copied from google chrome installed, referer still empty) channels work Dont know how useragent affects on that (especially on geo defining) But mb fill it by default? As variant any chrome useragent or scan installed browsers and get it from there Edited 11 hours ago by ZAIAC001
Luke 42270 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Quote But if I fill useragent field (just copied from google chrome installed, referer still empty) channels work Dont know how useragent affects on that (especially on geo defining) The server hosting your m3u is probably checking user agent and blocking based on certain criteria. Unless they publish that information (which they probably don't), then the only way to figure out what works is to just keep trying different combinations until it works.
