justinrh 264 Posted Friday at 10:08 PM Posted Friday at 10:08 PM I have two files for the same movie video, but I can't tell which is which from the Version drop list. Should I have to guess?
GrimReaper 4873 Posted Friday at 10:12 PM Posted Friday at 10:12 PM How are those movies grouped, each in its own folder? Also, doesn't the Video stream to the right of the dropdown change with different version selected?
justinrh 264 Posted Friday at 10:14 PM Author Posted Friday at 10:14 PM Same folder, video codec is the same. I shouldn't have to know intimate details of the internals of the file to figure this out, IMHO.

justinrh 264 Posted Friday at 10:23 PM Author Posted Friday at 10:23 PM (edited) Darn. I was hoping I wouldn't have to do any monkeying around with the files. I think Emby could improve the default logic and help the user out. If there is no " - " then just use the extension or something useful. Edited Friday at 10:25 PM by justinrh

You don't wanna know how many times I've had that same thought... before rolling up the sleeves and just doing it. Grudgingly, though. 2
visproduction 333 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Just, A bonus of using the dash - 1080P and - 720P, the first part of the media title is removed and you just see - 1080P and - 720P in the pull down options, which is less cluttered and easier to read. The abridged listing is based on what comes after the dash, so you have a choice to handle the naming of the pull down options, exactly how you prefer. - Director's extended version 1080P or - 1080P (director's extended)
