Bad metadata EMBY Version 4.9.3.0

Good evening.
I have a problem with this series.
The metadata doesn't match the files.

In the first screenshot, the file name and episode number are correct after viewing the file with VLC.
See screenshot.

 

However, when I open EMBY and view the season, even after correcting it by refreshing the metadata, it doesn't fix the problem.

TMDB

The Avengers: Season 5 (1967) — The Movie Database (TMDB)

Not that IMDB is ever directly used but looks the same as other providers.

 

I will guess as it translates slightly different on google but your S05E02 is "Escape in Time" so you do not have Aired Order.

DVD order from TVDB

Emby currently does not offer alternate orders from TMDB.

So the issue becomes is all your content in DVD order?  If so then you would Edit metadata on the Series and change the Display Order from Aired to DVD and Refresh metadata on the series ensuring you Replace images also.

Hello, I'm using the Thetvdb module, but even after sorting by DVD, it didn't work. Refreshing the files didn't work either. Do I need to restart the server afterward, or is it immediate? If it's the latter, then it wasn't working. Thanks anyway.

Did you Refresh on the Series/Show or just the episodes?  As this option affect the entire Series not individual episodes.

Set Series/Show order option

Refresh metadata w/replace images on Series/Show

Wait a few seconds for Emby to get new info from provider

Refresh web page (info should be in new order)

Only way you may/will have issues is if there is Locked metadata at Series/Show or Episode levels.

If this does not work, we will need to see the server log showing this process.

My test Aired order

DVD order per steps above (In my test these would be be wrong for my actual file order)  But should work in your case as your files are in that order.

Minus errors in your log or timing as you are recreating preview images not needed as they are correct per files.

Changed language to see if api issue but got correct results.
