beefsnack 16 Posted March 14 Posted March 14 (edited) I get this similar problem as well, I've changed/moved Paths for file locations to several movies/TV shows and EMBY doesn't release the old path/Location i.e (A: to D or V, H etc..) and it'll still show it's in A and wont release it from A, and I haven't done one thing though, (I have not deleted the A drive from the library from the core settings yet, I need it to still see what I lost from the A drive crash) which I can't ATM which is probably hindering my progress I'm sure, But I figured It should still notice the File move anyways, should it not? any Ideas how I can move forward with redirecting or pointing the server to the new paths? Like images show I know for a fact those shows are not in A: and All of them are still showing up as in A, and wont change to new location/Path TIA Beef. embyserver.txt Edited March 14 by beefsnack forgot pix

Sorahl 7 Posted Wednesday at 03:48 PM Posted Wednesday at 03:48 PM Could be a stupid question but . Did you rescan library files?

Once you have done that you can edit the libraries to remove the A: Folder paths and then scan the libraries

Would like to know which library, which folder path and which media file still trying to use the old path and a server log covering the time of this happening
Happy2Play 9800 Posted yesterday at 05:44 AM Posted yesterday at 05:44 AM (edited) Potentially I would test move a specific item you are having issues with back to its original location, Full Scan, confirm it works. Then move that item to its new location, Full Scan, see if it works if not post the server log for this process. I move content to other folders all the time and don't have a issue with it moving, haven't really need to do different drive letters as drives are polled. Edited yesterday at 05:44 AM by Happy2Play
bennymac 47 Posted yesterday at 09:04 AM Posted yesterday at 09:04 AM (edited) I had this problem last week after moving to a NAS for a single place of storage. To fix it. I shutdown Emby and deleted the library.db from the local system path. Before doing so I made a backup using the built-in backup/restore plugin. When starting Emby back up it creates a new library.db. This fixed all path issues I had. The initial scan took a while. You also have to add the Libraries back as they'll be blank and check the User's have those new libraries under their account settings. All was perfect for me afterwards. Would like to know which library, which folder path and which media file still trying to use the old path and a server log covering the time of this happening As I explained before, I haven't removed the A drive just yet because I'm still working on replacing the data I've lost from the specific HD crash, I'm being lazy I guess but I could write it down and be done with it, which I"m considering ATM, because this is causing to much trouble, I think this is the main reason why this is happening, everything is still showing in the A drive and not redirecting to the new folder when I replace the data and No I have not used the drive letter (A) yet it's not being used ATM this is probably why I'm having the issue, I'm just looking for an easy way out or a short cut before I use a new HD and label it A: when I do finally do finish up replacing all my missing data, If you can follow my madness.
