Hi, this is not meant to be deleted at anytime. You will probably see a lot of broken images if you do that.

Yes but somethings still get stored in the server metadata folder. Also if you tamper with the contents of it, make sure to run the scan metadata folder scheduled task afterwards.

hi, the path can be configured in advanced server settings.

What folder is large in /metadata?

As People images saved to that location also.

You could change path via Library-Advanced tab, then manually move all content from previous location to new location and run the "Scan Metadata Folder" task.
