Too Bright

Came here to reawaken this thread. I'm having the same issue on a Pixel 8 Pro. 

I'm always having problems in a dark room. To the point that it's unbearable for us to watch a movie in bed.

The brightness setting between 0/100 and 1/100 is just out of control. 0 is too dark and 1 is too bright.

 

It doesn't get any brighter beyond 40. Meaning between 40 and 100, it's the same level of brightness, i.e. the highest brightness.

 

On my OnePlus Pad 2 tablet though, everything works perfectly The setting of 10 is nice in a dark room and it increases all the way up to 100 neatly and evenly.

 

Maybe it's just a problem with Google Pixel phones?

Now the opposite problem is happening. It's always too bright on my Google Pixel 8 Pro.

Hi, I don't have a pixel 8 for testing, but on a pixel 6 it seems to be behaving as expected. There is definitely a gradual difference going all the way from 0 to 100.
