Thanks for narrowing things down @scottproI've tried an uninstall/reinstall & see no behavioral improvement... any update, @Luke?

Emby Theater has basically been unusable for the past week. The workarounds are onerous, and the devs have essentially been silent. 

As a user it would be nice to have some certainty that if I don't update anything on my end then I should be somewhat protected from breaking changes being pushed through from the backend. Or at the very least, some kind of quick resolution when problems are highlighted.

Could you please provide an update as to when or if the horizontal navigation issue will be resolved for the legacy version of Theater?

This topic involves Emby Theater v3.0.20 (Server v4.9.3.0) specifically. While I originally mentioned all fields on the Home Screen... Latest...', 'On Now',, 'Continue Watching', I have since found it extends to 'Artist' / 'Album Artist' album lists... pretty much anywhere horizontal scrolling is required. It doesn't. Across multiple Win 11 clients.

@scottprodetermined what changes introduced the problem & it appears to affect other clients similarly.

As there are changes in the beta server related to such functionality, I suspect accommodating them may have affected those of us running the stable server release?

As others have said - the left/right navigation arrows (that appear when "Enable TV display mode" is disabled) don't respond to mouse clicks, which makes convenient navigation impossible.

I'm using Theater version 3.0.20, and an older server version - 4.8.11.0

Mouse clicks where? Can you please show a screenshot example? Thanks.

Can you try a fresh install of the app as it seems to be working in my testing. Thanks.

A fresh install shows the same issue.

Interestingly the navigation buttons work properly if I access the affected pc via rdp from a different pc on my network. This might point towards a solution?

I've also just tried installing on a different Windows 11 pc, and the problem doesn't show up. But that's no help for my Emby HTPC. The affected pc is Windows 10, UHD 605 graphics, latest drivers.

How exactly did you do a fresh install?

I can confirm that clicking the mouse on the horizontal scroll arrows does work when connected to the target PC using a RDP session.  When clicking on the scroll arrows locally on the target PC does not work.  The arrow does grow in size when the mouse is hovering the arrow but does not respond to mouse clicks.

  • Windows 10 PC (RDP) -> Windows 11 PC (running ET 3.0.20), arrows work with mouse clicks
  • Local Windows 10 or 11 PC (running ET 3.0.20), arrows do not respond to mouse clicks (no scroll)

Using latest 4.9.3.21

A friend reported the exact same issue on my server today.
Client Emby Theater 3.0.20, server 4.9.3.0

She's using the keyboard arrows for now.
