Im lost

I’m just trying to figure out how I could watch shows new movies old movies on Emby. One of my friends just showed me how I could get it so I got the app but I just don’t understand how I get the server onto the app, what website or domain do I get to put it onto the app?

I read it but I’m just trying to add a server so I could watch TVs and movies could you tell me where I figure out what servers

You need to have access to someone else's server who has their own collection of Movies, TV Series etc on their computer and they are willing to let you access them

You need your own Emby server on your own computer which has your own collection of Movies, TV Series etc on your computers hard drive(s).

This is not Hulu.  You need to provide your own server/PC, storage, and the media you are going to watch.

If you are connecting to a friend's server... Give them your email address that you used to create your profile on Emby.  They will need to add you as an user.

Then login to Emby Connect when you login to the app, and you should see their server listed.

My friends kids set it up, im just trying to get my own server with movies and tv shows. Where do i  find one to add to my emby?

You install the server on your own hardware / PC.

You can buy a server on Amazon.  Get a good one.  Get Plenty of Space.  Turn it on your network, install the Emby Server application on it.  Rip your existing content from DVD's, BluRay's or VHS and add those to your Emby Server Library, then connect the app that you installed on your phone / tv / media box to your Emby Server.

Easy.  Well, in a nutshell that is.

You build your own or ask a friend for access to theirs. Period. Emby does not provide content.
