WDPR4100 13 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Hi Emby Team, First of all, thank you for the amazing work on the server. The stability and cross-platform support are already impressive. I’ve been following the recent industry shifts towards Rust, especially for high-performance and memory-safe backend services (like what Discord or Cloudflare have done). Given that Emby handles heavy I/O tasks and concurrent streaming, I was wondering if there are any long-term plans to rewrite certain core components (like the library scanner or the networking layer) in Rust to further improve performance and resource management? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this technical evolution! Best regards.
