Can’t connect to Emby server on my LG Smart Tv

I’m not very gifted 8n network stuff and servers, but can’t find which server to try for a connection. I used the two examples on the installation page and get messages saying I cannot connect.

No, not really sure how to do it. I just downloaded the app on my LG Smart TV, got an account and followed the process until I reach the add server section where it says I cann9t connect.

Are you trying to connect to your own Emby server or someone else’s server?

 You need to know what server you are planning to connect to. It sounds like you don’t have one yet.

I think you are right. I just want to get Emby running on my TV so I can watch IPTV content. Not really too sure about the server selection. I don’t know what server I need to connect to. I don’t have one. I think I’m just a bit over my head in this area. Thanks for your help.

Thanks Luke, you are patient! I think I understand it better now. I need to download the Emby app on my laptop to connect to my tv to watch IPTV on it? Like I noted a bit, actually a lot beyond my networking abilities! I wanted Emby because the app that I get IPTV on my firestick does not work on my LG Smart TV. Emby sounds a bit too advanced and overkill for my simpler purposes.
