uncle_yuri 1 Posted February 19 Posted February 19 Hello, I'm using a pretty vanilla setup (new server setup, pretty much all default options) and have been following along with the suggested naming structure, but hopefully I've just missed something simple here. I have the following file structure in place: D:/Video/ Movies/ (this is the library folder, content type is movies) Dawn of the Dead (1978) {tvdb-923}/ Dawn of the Dead (1978) - Extended Edition.mkv Dawn of the Dead (1978) - US Theatrical Edition.mkv interviews/ Chris Romero.mkv Tom Savini.mkv My problem is that the interview clips are showing up not as extra features, but as alternate versions of the film: I haven't uploaded many movies, and this is the only one where I tried to add alternate versions. I'm wondering if there's some kind of bug involved, or if I just have an issue with my setup. Thanks!

Solution Luke 42171 Posted February 20 Solution Posted February 20 Hi, what if you rename the folder to: Dawn of the Dead (1978)
uncle_yuri 1 Posted February 20 Author Posted February 20 (edited) Hi Luke, that did fix it actually. I also noticed that I had added {tvdb-923} when it should've been {tmdb-923}. I thought that would be the "other" fix, but when I tried using the right tag, it reverted to the problem behavior. Any idea why that is? (Basically I mean, I thought it would be 'best practice' to add a definitive TVDB/TMDB identifier tag, but if it's better to just use title and year, I'll stick with that) Edited February 20 by uncle_yuri
Neminem 1591 Posted February 20 Posted February 20 @uncle_yuriI think you can still use this folder naming folder : Dawn of the Dead (1978) {tmdb-923} But then you media files will also need to be named like that. Dawn of the Dead (1978) {tmdb-923} - Extended Edition.mkv Dawn of the Dead (1978) {tmdb-923} - US Theatrical Edition.mkv And yes that will help Emby better to identify the movie, when you use {tmdb-XXXXXX}
uncle_yuri 1 Posted February 20 Author Posted February 20 Ok, it all makes sense now. That was the missing piece. I added that tag to the filenames to keep them identical with the folder and it's all working like it should be now. Thanks folks! 1
