hollerme 7 Posted Friday at 11:02 PM Posted Friday at 11:02 PM I was watching a film on my Smart TV when halfway through the film suddenly stopped and I can't access my Emby titles. I checked all the TVs in my house and can't access Emby (when I select the app it can't find my server). My Internet is working fine and my synology isnt having any issues. How can I fix this?
Luke 42077 Posted Friday at 11:03 PM Posted Friday at 11:03 PM Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!
hollerme 7 Posted Friday at 11:25 PM Author Posted Friday at 11:25 PM I provided all the information I can possibly provide. I have not been able to log on Emby on my computer (I think I made a post about it a year ago) or even on my phone, and can only access it on my actual TVs (they are Sony). There is no error message. It simply disappeared while I was watching a film then when I went on Emby again on the TV my server doesn't even show up.
pwhodges 2012 Posted Friday at 11:30 PM Posted Friday at 11:30 PM Have you been able to check that your server is still running? If you can't then you need to find a way to access it on the Synology to check it out, restart it, or whatever turns out to be required. I suppose if you can't even do that, then maybe rebooting the Synology might get it back - but you still wouldn't know why this happened. Perhaps it ran out of some resource, and you'll need to do something about that - but until you can get some information about the server, we can't help more. Paul

Paul Is there a way to find this out on the Synology itself? I can share screenshots from there.
Luke 42077 Posted Friday at 11:59 PM Posted Friday at 11:59 PM Can you try starting Emby server again? It sounds like it isn’t running.

When I clicked repair it was greyed out and I had to uninstall. Now when I clicked reinstall it says: You have not created any volumes. Do you want to launch Storage Manager to create a new volume? Is that normal? Obviously I've had volumes since that's how I've been watching content on emby this whole time.
pwhodges 2012 Posted Saturday at 10:20 AM Posted Saturday at 10:20 AM It sounds to me as if you need to be asking on a Synology forum, not this one! Does Synology not provide a user manual? Paul
