jrhessey 21 Posted February 12 Posted February 12 I've got a few movies that don't show up in my library. I've checked/removed/inherited permissions. Verified there is no .embyignore in the folders. The movies play just fine in VLC. I've renamed the movie to see if the library scan picks it up. The new nfo is created, but the movie still does not show up. After doing some digging I found these lines in the log. I'm not sure if there is a setting I've got set somewhere or what would cause this to happen. I've attached the full log as well in case that would help any. 2026-02-11 22:39:07.594 Info App: Removing item from database, Type: Movie, Name: Bad Boys, Path: P:\Movies\Bad Boys (1995)\Bad Boys.2160p.7.1.x265.Dolby TrueHD with Dolby Atmos.10bit.HDR.mkv, Id: 32686 2026-02-11 22:39:07.597 Info App: Deleting path C:\*****\*****\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\metadata\library\4d\4d2a7d599938479135ce22545910a6ed 2026-02-11 22:39:07.597 Info Media Info: Library Monitory has removed Bad Boys from the library 2026-02-11 22:39:07.597 Info Media Info: Movie Bad Boys has been remove from BIF processed list 2026-02-11 22:39:07.597 Info Media Info: Bad Boys has been removed from the MediaInfo Processed List embyserver-63906451200.txt
ebr 16169 Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Hi. That could be due to the file no longer being accessible. Was it moved or renamed? Is this path and file name still completely accurate and accessible? Path: P:\Movies\Bad Boys (1995)\Bad Boys.2160p.7.1.x265.Dolby TrueHD with Dolby Atmos.10bit.HDR.mkv
jrhessey 21 Posted February 12 Author Posted February 12 It is Here is the path I've copied from right clicking and selecting copy a path. I don't see anything different. I can play the file from my server and a couple other computers on my network, browsing to it and double clicking it. I even copied the path you posted and it opens as expected. I've reset permissions just in case and it looks like the perms match other folders and files that are visible in my movies. "P:\Movies\Bad Boys (1995)\Bad Boys.2160p.7.1.x265.Dolby TrueHD with Dolby Atmos.10bit.HDR.mkv"
TMCsw 248 Posted February 13 Posted February 13 (edited) Your log shows many I/O problems, starting with backup/restore on your C:\ drive, also:: P-drive doesn't seem reachable There is also a //volume not available involved. There are many errors when fetching from external providers I'd suggest a complete shutdown of your system (ALL NAS, /Servers /Switches/ Clients/ Computers/ Routers \ Then restart, see if this helps, wait a few hours, then run a lib scan. Then get back. I'm not a Windows guy, so others may be better able to help. Edited February 13 by TMCsw
jrhessey 21 Posted February 13 Author Posted February 13 The P drive is a shared folder on my Synology. It has all my tv shows and movies on it, so it's definitely accessible. I can try rebooting everything, just can't do it right now because I'm away from the house. If I delete the folder and run it through filebot, like I do every other movie. The Bad Boys folder gets created. When I do the library scan, it identifies it, creates the info, downloads ask the art and runs the BIF generator for the movie.
jrhessey 21 Posted February 13 Author Posted February 13 (edited) I figured it out! I stumbled on this post and even though there is no answer, it pointed me in the right direction. I logged in as another user and the 2 missing Bad Boys (1 and 2) showed up. That led me to access and parental control. I assumed I'd have a goofed up parental limit, but it was set AO/AR/UR/X/XXX. I've attached a screenshot. I looked at the other user and it was BLANK. So I switched my user to BLANK and the 2 Bad Boys movies appeared! Toggled through all 4 Bod Boys movies and the first 2 have a rating of 18 for those 2 movies. Is there any chance you are not accounting for that rating? Also if you're not accounting for it, I would think that would fall under the unrecognized and since I have them set to no, I would think the movies should still show up. Is that correct? This would be totally separate as your first post shows content being removed from the DB not hidden per Parental control. Content being deleted from DB usually comes from paths being unavailable/offline or other programs changing the media files and inotify sees the change and deletes the entry from the DB and readds what is considers new content.
Luke 42077 Posted Tuesday at 06:45 AM Posted Tuesday at 06:45 AM Thanks for following up about the ratings.
