seanbuff 1343 Posted February 13 Posted February 13 This thread is very confusing. @Robghare you posting here under two different accounts? 1

Robgh 4 Posted February 13 Author Posted February 13 Scheduled Tasks/Download Subtitles, but nothing was downloaded
Neminem 1580 Posted February 13 Posted February 13 @seanbuff @Robghand @avalon65is the same person. 1
avalon65 2 Posted February 13 Posted February 13 So can anyone enlighten me as to why the subtitles file has or won't download for me. In my profile when I tap on download subtitles, nothing happens. I've selected a folder for the download. So what have I missed.

Robgh 4 Posted February 14 Author Posted February 14 (edited) For a start I followed this guide Automatic Downloads (Plugins): Go to your Emby Server Dashboard and click Plugins > Catalog. Install a plugin like Open Subtitles. Restart your Emby server. Configure the plugin in "My Plugins," then edit your media libraries to enable automatic downloads and set preferred languages. At the last point: ie Configure the plugin, I got this: (there is another part of the guide which says: Go to Settings > Subtitles > Subtitle Mode to set preferences. That option is not available for me) Edited February 14 by Robgh more information
Robgh 4 Posted February 14 Author Posted February 14 Apologies if I have posted the same picture twice, as this is the one I should have posted: Scheduled tasks and select subtitles:
Robgh 4 Posted February 14 Author Posted February 14 Sorry, I don't know what you mean specifically. I just entered the mount points in the emby server app on my TrueNAS server, then opened the WebUI, and added the said folders for films tv shows etc.If that's what you are asking
Neminem 1580 Posted February 14 Posted February 14 Like this ! Have you enabled Subtitle downloading in all the libraries you want subs?
Neminem 1580 Posted February 14 Posted February 14 And like @GrimReaper wrote earlier did you allow your user to download subs ?
Robgh 4 Posted February 14 Author Posted February 14 (edited) Ok , but how did you get the Automatic Subtitles Downloads window up , like where from, the 3 dots on the movies library? or anywhere else . if so, I don't have that option Thanks Edited February 14 by Robgh

Have you reviewed that popup in its entirety? If you're not seeing it, show us some screenshots.
Robgh 4 Posted February 14 Author Posted February 14 (edited) Ok, so you select a library, say movies, then what because all I see is that window.. if you don't want to explain, that's fine. I have never done this or have I had to do it ever with emby, and I am not as familiar with the details as you are. So I came here for help, because I don't know how to do what I want or need to do Thanks Edited February 14 by Robgh
Neminem 1580 Posted February 14 Posted February 14 (edited) Last time for me, to hold your hand. 1) Go to Libraries. 2) Click your library image to open the settings. 3) Use the scroll bar to your right. 4) Scroll down to Subtitle section of that librarie. 5) Edit the settings you need / want. Edited February 14 by Neminem
Robgh 4 Posted February 14 Author Posted February 14 I already did that 3 days ago, and still no subtitles. Obviously you have never taught people how to do things before, as I have Thanks anyway
