EmbyCon and subpaths

Hello,

I installed EmbyCon on my newly installed CoreELEC/Kodi device to stream my movies from my remote Emby server behind a reverse proxy.

This doesn't work because I can't connect to my server at all. When I manually enter my domain (https://XXX/emby) and click OK, it says it can't connect. I added a port, but also no chance.

Then I asked ChatGPT about this, and it told me that EmbyCon doesn't work with subpaths like .../emby because EmbyCon can't set a basepath, follow redirects, or provide a login mask.

Does this mean I can't use this plugin with my setup, or is there a workaround?

I think it should work with a sub-path of emby, it has been many years since I have tested that though.

http://<host>:<port>/emby

Thanks, but this didn't work. I tried many different options for Host like:

.. but none of them worked. It always says: It can't connect to my server.

There's also no option in the settings to specify a subpath. Could you have a look at this issue? That would be great!

the only subpath what would work is /emby

i.e.

http://<host>:<port>/emby

you set you reverse proxy sub path to

/emby

which send the request to internal server at / and that should work

The /emby is can we re-written when you do the forwarding. I have tested this in the past and it did work. I have not tested it for many years.

I have no plan to fully support subpaths at this time
