hi I was able to fix it with the help of this post

I unchecked "update Trakt watched history during Scheduled Task" and only then the save button worked to save my new key, before that the save button was never triggering the emby service on trakt side not sure why.

after that saved and appeared I turned the option on again and it's been working since
