te5s3rakt 4 Posted February 5 Posted February 5 I don't like clearlogo's or landscape images. I don't want them. Plex didn't use them. And nobody produces complete art work collections with them. How do I get rid of them? I don't want them downloaded. I don't want them used anywhere. If something is in "continue playing" I want to use the regular movie/show poster. On the Apple TV dashboard, I want to use the Posters for "On Deck" when looking at the app. How do I do achieve this? This throwaway art is ruining my carefully curated library and driving me insane
Luke 42077 Posted February 5 Posted February 5 Hi, what metadata and image fetchers do you have enabled on the library?

But the issue now is, when these shows appear On Deck, they appear to use the 'fanart.jpg'. Quickly regarding 'fanart.jpg', I have one small grievance. I've always placed a 'background.jpg' file in the directory (based on Plex's original recommendations). Is there a way to make emby default to saving the backgrounds named similarly? Presently I'm pulling my OCD/ADHD hair out going through and constantly renaming 'fanart' to 'background'. Now I hear what you're thinking, perhaps therapy would be easier, so I'm not compelled by a simply filename. But alas, that would be way most costly

Because I prefer my local assets be background and poster only in each folder. Not fanart and poster. Like I said. There's zero sense to it. Just my brain is broken That's a minor grievance though. My big concern atm is being able to drop all the landscape.jpg images, and displaying the portrait poster.jpg's in the On Deck/Continue Watching gallery on Web & Apple TV Edited February 5 by te5s3rakt
Luke 42077 Posted February 5 Posted February 5 So you just want to see placeholders instead of artwork?

Neminem 1518 Posted February 5 Posted February 5 Just remember IT IS BETA. And you can't go back to Release after you have upgraded to Beta.
