yangfinal 0 Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Hi, I want to make everything in my animation library use Japanese(Kanji). I made my library setting to Japanese and it still displayed as English(or Romaji). And I find there is only one setting in anime plugin to make title Romaji. Is there any way to make Kanji works? Is there any way to change language to "ja" and use Japanese official anime name? I would like to say that --> 1. Is there a Kanji option in anime plugin? 2. For the preferred localized title, I cannot find any Kanji title, why? For example The World in Colors - 1 - Majutsushi Kunon wa Miete Iru - Episode - AniDB, I want to get "色付く世界(ja/jp)" but not The World in Colors(en) or Irozuku Sekai(x-jat)

Luke 42077 Posted February 4 Posted February 4 HI, what should the language code be for the kanji version?
yangfinal 0 Posted February 4 Author Posted February 4 Thanks for the quick reply. I checked the wiki sample, AniDB O'Matic - Documentation: Local file renaming - AniDB -- And another git repo ZeroQI/Hama.bundle: Plex HTTP Anidb Metadata Agent (HAMA) -- The difference language code between AniDB and TVDB I am thinking that the search order will be like Official names->Main name->Synonym? Also the Main staff/casts and Episodes contains multiple languages of official names. So the Kanji tag is ja, Romaji is x-jat. And Kanji is mostly used in East Asia area. we can have this as an option for better reading?
yangfinal 0 Posted February 4 Author Posted February 4 When I switch metadata language to Japanese and rescan/generate metadata for the library, the titles are still English. When I switch to Romaji, the titles are English or Romaji. I do not know if there is a way to switch to Japanese(Kanji)
pwhodges 2012 Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Just to confirm, is animdb above TVDB in the various metadata fetch lists for the library? Paul
