JosiahH 2 Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Very strange issue here. The server is correctly downloading/generating episode thumbnails based on my preferences. If I go to the media data directory they are there. On Emby apps, the thumbnails sometimes display, sometimes they show a placeholder. But, on the web, they only show a placeholder. I can't get the server to show the actual thumbnails for nothin'. I tried moving from Docker installation to native (On Fedora Server 43, fully up-to-date). I tried refreshing the metadata for the library. I tried clearing the cache on the server (/var/lib/emby/cache). I even deleted and rebuilt the database. Nothing I've tried fixes it. This is a little bit of a nit picky complaint. But, something isn't working consistently and it's annoying my OCD embyserver.txt
Luke 42505 Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Hi, can you please show a screenshot example of what you are seeing? Thanks.
JosiahH 2 Posted February 4 Author Posted February 4 Absolutely. Here is a screenshot from the web interface and from the Linux beta app. As you can see, the web interface is using placeholder thumbnails, while the native app shows the correct episode thumbnail.
AzzoArr 1 Posted May 22 Posted May 22 Any update on this? I am also having this same issue. I miss the thumbnails being image captures from the episode and not the TV show cover.

Bottom image has no episode overviews, it should actually show TV show thumbs and not Specials/Season 0 thumbs for Season 1 and episodes are Unplayed, as opposed to upper image?

I checked my folder settings over like 3 times and I can't figure out how to get them to be image captures of the episodes again.
GrimReaper 4987 Posted May 22 Posted May 22 Can you share a screenshot of your library Image fetchers enabled/order?

GrimReaper 4987 Posted May 23 Posted May 23 OK, as a test, set those as: Season Image fetchers - TVDB - TMDB - Fanart - AniList Episode Image Fetchers: - TVDB - TMDB - Image Capture Also, untick/tick again all enabled providers, in case they got stuck. And then on Malcom in the Middle, Refresh Metadata>Replace All with Replace existing images toggled ON. Do tell the results.

Didn't even think to ask that, considering OP does want to have images displayed - but now that you've mentioned it, it actually makes a lot of sense as a solution to why there are no images nor episode overviews there, either.

AzzoArr 1 Posted yesterday at 05:11 AM Posted yesterday at 05:11 AM (edited) Update, i did find it within admin and it was enabled. I disabled it. Thank you for your help. Edited yesterday at 05:13 AM by AzzoArr 1
