Teredactle 37 Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Hey gang, I have a TS-431 which is my actual media storage for all my Emby server (which rung in a HyperV VM on Windows 10). From time to time, this machine needs to be rebooted, so Emby drops out, I'd really like to have a backup running on that NAS, low duty, with transcoding OFF - most local devices don't need transcoding. I'm running on v 4.3.6 on the Qnap box, can someone tell me what is a working version I can install? Doesn't need to be the latest, I just need it to point to the media the kids watch. There are some existing threads on the TS-431 but pretty old, just curious if there was a newer version that works on it, or rather perhaps I'll ask what is the latest/last version for the TS-431 running fw 4.3.6 that can be installed and works well? TY
Luke 42077 Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Hi, unfortunately I don't know. Did you try 4.7? https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby.Releases/releases/tag/4.7.14.0
Teredactle 37 Posted February 3 Author Posted February 3 Thanks Luke, I'm unsure about the difference between these below, The TS-431 has a "Freescale™ ARM®v7 Cortex®-A9 dual-core 1.2GHz processor", which means what version do I need???? emby-server-qnap-mono_4.7.14.0_arm-x19.qpkg 86.4 MBAug 24, 2023 emby-server-qnap-mono_4.7.14.0_arm-x41.qpkg 86 MBAug 24, 2023 emby-server-qnap_4.7.14.0_arm-x31.qpkg 70.9 MBAug 24, 2023 emby-server-qnap_4.7.14.0_arm_64.qpkg 70.5 MBAug 24, 2023 Appreciate the help!
Luke 42077 Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Definitely not arm64 but it could be any of the others. Probably not x41 though. I think you just have to try them.
Teredactle 37 Posted February 4 Author Posted February 4 What do the different x numbers mean, what's the diff between x19 and x31?
Luke 42077 Posted February 4 Posted February 4 5 hours ago, Teredactle said: What do the different x numbers mean, what's the diff between x19 and x31? They correspond to qnap packaging tools. Unfortunately for really older models it's really hard to know exactly which one to use, so that's why you just have to try it. The info we supply on our website is the only info that qnap has given. If your model isn't listed there, then it's going to take some trial and error to figure out which one to install.
