Frequently Played / Recently Played elements not very UX-friendly

I've started using the Emby Music functionalities and immediately noticed that adding to favorites / editing an items in the Frequently/Recently played elements can only be done for every 3 items when scrolling to the next page:

Having to scroll to the next page is annoying, but it's even more annoying that on the next page, you'll have no idea which items corresponds to the actions unless you actively remember the previous page or scroll back again.

I would personally prefer if items are entirely displayed within the carousel and don't expand beyond the current viewbox.

Hi, this goes against most generally accepted practices. You need to be able to see a portion of the next item in order to know that it's there. Without that, many users will fail to scroll at all.

That's great and all and should be adhere to and in this case it's not.

Now the item's actions are visually seperated from the items themselves making this part of the UI pretty hard to use, especially if you're trying to look at an item in every third column. You'll have to scroll to the next page to do your action and probably back to the previous page to continue viewing (left to right, top to bottom).

Alternatively it would be better to look at the "Recently Released X" slider.
Here the "last item" (after Song Sung Blue) is only slightly visible, preventing user interaction.

The "last" visual item (Song Sung Blue) is easily editable here.

Going to the next page the last item from before (Song Sung Blue) isn't within this "page" anymore. It's not (significantly) visible anymore so the new first item, becomes the first of this "page", which is Anaconda.

On the first page the last item, Song Sung Blue, is fully visible, this is the last item of the first page.

On the second page Anaconda is fully visible, this is the first item of the second page. Zootopia 2 is the last item of page two.

So to summarize: within the Frequently Played / Recently Played every third item is NEVER fully visible:

"Where the end of this _Arc_ item"

image.thumb.png.1bcd15dbe5a8d479f84dd9b14a048bb1.png

"Ah yes, it's on the next page"

But what's the item underneath it now? Who knows. I want to edit "The Aftermath", an item from page 3, but I'll have to scroll to page 4 to do so. 🤷‍♂️

Ah, yes, that's the key and should be addressed.
