LaHaye 3 Posted February 2 Posted February 2 I've implemented Emby and I'm quite pleased with everything. I do have one problem that I can't seem to figure out why. In the movies sections I'm missing 6 movies. When I go to metadata manager all the folders with files there, but they are not listed in the movies. I can't figure out why. Any suggestions on how to proceed. I've done the obvious by removing the movies and the folders restarting the server and re-scanning everything, then putting the folders with movies back. Emby still doesn't find the movies, but I can see folder and movie listed but it's not displayed. Any thoughts.
GrimReaper 4739 Posted February 2 Posted February 2 How are your files named and organized? They've likely been mis-identified/merged with some other movies - in Movies tab, filter for Duplicates, that'd show you multi-version movies, check if you have any movies listed there that you shouldn't have multiple versions of.
LaHaye 3 Posted February 3 Author Posted February 3 GrimReaper, I followed your advice and I've got a listing of duplicates of movies, and I know they are not dupes or multi-versions. I'll check further as to what happened. All movies are organized in their own folders. if the movies are part of series, then they are organized in subfolders.
LaHaye 3 Posted February 3 Author Posted February 3 (edited) GrimReaper, What I'm finding is I have some movies are in black and white and the same movie is also in color. So that's why Emby has dupes. I'll figure something to solve the missing movies not being listed. I didn't have this issue with Plex. Also, I've movies with newer version of the movie with the same name. For example, Robin Hood was made in 2010 and 2018 same named movie with different actors. Edited February 3 by LaHaye
Luke 42077 Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Hi, they aren't missing but are most likely grouped together. If you click on one you'll see the version selection box allowing you to choose which one to play.
