Hello

I sort my movie trailers as follows:
\Movies\Avatar (2009)\Trailers\Theater Teaser.mkv\
Movies\Avatar (2009)\Trailers\Theater Trailer #1.mkv
Movies\Avatar (2009)\Trailers\Theater Trailer #2.mkv
Movies\Avatar (2009)\Trailers\Music Clip.mkv
Movies\Avatar (2009)\Trailers\poster.jpg

Until now, the local trailers and images in Emby for Android TV / Google TV were named like this during playback:
Theater Teaser
Theater Trailer #1
Theater Trailer #2
Music Clip
... and the poster was displayed on the left.

This week I updated my Emby server, which is about 2-3 years old, to version "emby-server-deb_4.9.3.0_amd64.deb".

Now all trailers in Emby for Android TV / Google TV are displayed like this:
Avatar - Trailer -> previously Theater Teaser
Avatar - Trailer -> previously Theater Trailer #1
Avatar - Trailer -> previously Theater Trailer #2
Avatar - Trailer -> previously Music Clip
and the poster is no longer displayed.

But this only happens with movies I added this week.

All the old trailers retained the old display.

Please, where can I change this?

The display system was great.

Thanks for your help.

HI, yes this change was made based on user feedback, although I think we can improve on it further.

Hi Luke, thanks for your feedback. It would be great if you could optimize this a bit more. Changing all future and possibly older entries via the metadata is very tedious.

You could leave everything as it is if you allowed the trailers to access an *.nfo file. That's not possible. Alternatively, you could save the changes entered in the metadata as an *.nfo file. At the very least, the Emby server should be able to access an NFO file in the Trailers folder via the filename.

Right now it's sort of hardcoded that trailers don't use nfo files just because most users would consider them unexpected. But more options to control this are always possible.
