If not, I propose this as a feture request @soderlund91 Currently, no. But I would say it's fairly easy to do manually by editing the pictures/metadata of the collection once it has been created. I will look into the possibility of implementing this, since a few of you have asked for it. As I'm playing and using the plugin myself, I notice some things along the way that need to improve. Currently on my to-to is: An easier way to move objects in the manual sorting. A filter option (for example, only show collections, scheduled, etc.). By request: improved collection handling — poster, description, and general metadata. Support for more sources. And a major thing I want to do — if it will be supported by the Emby API — is to add an option to create a home screen section directly from the plugin (Emby Server 4.10+). This would be a killer feature, at least for my use case. So those are my thoughts. What started with only tags might end up as an overall "home screen manager." We'll see down the road how this evolves and how much time I get, but it always good to have an ambition! 1
chander421 16 Posted February 19 Posted February 19 Exciting stuff! However, I think there is a problem with the exclusion of certain titles (advanced tab). As you can see here, I have blacklisted five titles, but they keep reappearing in the collection every time I sync. I have even deleted the tags and removed the movies from this collection manually, but nothing works... Any idea why?

Slipped through my version-testing. I'll look into it as soon as possible! Thanks for the report!

eMoOak 8 Posted February 20 Posted February 20 Great work!! Thank you so much!! Juste tested a couple of lists with mdblist and it works fine! But I don't know why this one doesn't work: https://mdblist.com/lists/emooak/col-films-de-90-minutes-max Nothing seems different with the others... It's a public one like the others but I get "No tems found" from the plugin. Any idea?

It's a public one like the others but I get "No tems found" from the plugin. Any idea? Thanks! It works for me and gives all items. Is it your own list? I have noted that if I create a list at MDBList and enter the link BEFORE the list have populated/generated the plugin will then cache an empty list, and therefore you will get error until the cache has emptied. Might be the issue here? You could try to delete the cache file: /plugins/AutoTag/autotag_cache.json and the run again
eMoOak 8 Posted Friday at 02:32 PM Posted Friday at 02:32 PM Yes, it's my own list. I probably entered the link BEFORE the list have populated. I deleted the cache (autotag_cache.json), restarted emby but still nothing for this one: "No tems found"

As a workaround you can clone your list, wait for it to populate and then enter your new link. Then you could delete the first list. I’ll see if can fix this bug 1

crusher11 1104 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) Does this only work with an external source list? I was hoping there would be a way to dynamically control things based on keywords and other criteria, like building a VirtualTV channel. EDIT: I also have no idea how to get a Trakt API key? I assume I use the “new application” button, but then it wants redirect URIs and all sorts of other things I don't understand. Edited 2 hours ago by crusher11
crusher11 1104 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago A reverse collection option would be good, too, to tag everything in a given collection (eg setting up a rule to tag everything in my Universal Monsters collection at the start of October, then untag it at the end of October). Also I noticed this:

From 1.4.00 it already has this (scheduler) ?

I’m working on an update to also include some local media information as 4K, Dolby digital, exciting collections/playlists, genres, etc. Could you please elaborate what you mean by using “keywords”? 9 minutes ago, crusher11 said: A reverse collection option would be good, too, to tag everything in a given collection (eg setting up a rule to tag everything in my Universal Monsters collection at the start of October, then untag it at the end of October). Not yet - but I guess this could be added in the Filter section for Dynamic Media. A lot of us are using tagging on the collections, so we are doing it that way - but agree, it would be nice to pick a collection and use that instead. Edited 1 hour ago by rbjtech

I’m working on the next update that will include an ability to choose an existing collection as source, and then put tags on the items within. Also to include local media information as 4K, 1080p, Dolby Atmos, etc. On my to-do list is also the ability to add a poster for collection and description. That will probably be in another update.

Well, for example, all TV shows where the title contains "law & order." Tagging by genre, director, actor, etc. as well. It's November? Spotlight film noir. David Lynch died? Spotlight films he directed. Robert Redford died? Spotlight films he starred in. Release date, too. Films with the genre "film noir" released between 1940 and 1950, to filter out neo-noir. Films celebrating their 100th anniversary this year. There's so much metadata already on the server, it just feels silly that I have to manually curate lists elsewhere. I do love the Trakt integration for Trending and the like though. Can you clarify how I get an API key? 33 minutes ago, rbjtech said: Not yet - but I guess this could be added in the Filter section for Dynamic Media. You can already Spotlight a collection, but if I could use this to dynamically tag its contents I don't need to go reconfigure the Spotlight once I'm done spotlighting that collection and want to go back to tags.
