PazuzuRises 0 Posted January 29 Posted January 29 So, I had an emby server on my old 2015 Mac Mini. So, when I got the new one for Christmas, I installed it and created a new server. I know I could have just moved the server to the new Mac Mini, but I wanted to start fresh. It worked like a charm. It was so much faster than my old one. That is... until I tried to remotely connect. I live in the middle of nowhere in the mountains, so the only ISP is Starlink, which doesn't do port forwarding. I installed a VPN with port forwarding (it worked on my old server). Still, it wouldn't connect. I tried using both my phones, my ipad, my Macbook Air, and even the work computer. I just kept getting the unable to connect message. I double-checked the Emby Premiere key, and that's fine. All users have EmbyConnect. Then I tried manually entering the WAN address and port number, and it worked. I can watch movies on all my devices at work. So... it CAN connect... it just won't unless you enter the address and port number. I'm perfectly fine doing it that way, but it's causing issues with my elderly family members. I can't figure out why it won't connect remotely on its own like on the old server. Is there some simple, extremely obvious fix that I'm missing?
Luke 42077 Posted January 29 Posted January 29 Hi, does your server dashboard display the correct local and remote addresses?
