N1N1 3 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Hello, I am manually managing the position of some of my Specials into the main seasons. In that way, some specials fall into the same position into the main episodes flow. In that case emby considers then the airdate to sort them. Is it possible to sort with another criteria ? Example : 01 special xxxx - aidate: march 2001 02 special yyyy - airdate: april 2001 I want to put both of them before episode S02E01 AND I want 02 to be played before 01 The only way I found until now is to override airdate to satisfy this
brothom 177 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 @N1N1using "airdate" is the correct way since the metadata provider will set the basic information for each special episode. It would be nice to use alternatively orders like "chronological", "sequential" next to airdate, but that's not a thing most metadata providers, provide. It would've been useful if we could change the episode numbers to also contain decimal values, for example: For now "Air Date" is your best bet. 1
N1N1 3 Posted January 27 Author Posted January 27 Hi @brothom Thanks for your answer Nice to see you also found the same idea on your end. I also tried to set order with regards to another special episode, unsuccessfully
Neminem 1518 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 You could also try this, on the item you want to move. That could also work. 1

Can confirm that using "Special Episode Info" works perfectly to put specials between episodes: Good find @Neminem! Note that the "Special Episode Info" is only available for episodes that are marked "special", which works to fix this issue nicely but doesn't really solve the global issue when it comes to organising / sorting seasons in general. We maybe need something for that. Edited January 28 by brothom 1
