luca1970it 24 Posted January 26 Posted January 26 Body: Good morning, I would like to report another bug regarding the Android app (version 3.5.28) running on Nvidia Shield TV Pro (Android TV). I have tried changing various settings in the "Home" section, but the "Continue Watching" feature on the Home screen is still not working. The content that should appear there to continue watching is missing. I would like to understand why this is happening, especially since the feature works correctly and displays the content within the dedicated Android TV app. Could you please investigate this? Thank you.

Good morning Luke, Yesterday I noticed a behavior in the Android version that I hadn't spotted before. Basically, if a specific library folder isn't explicitly enabled/pinned (see the circled option in Figure 1), the "Continue Watching" content for that folder does not appear on the Home screen. I honestly don't understand the logic behind this. I have about 20 folders in my collection (and this number will likely grow). Why am I "forced" to enable/display all of them on the Home screen just to ensure the "Continue Watching" feature works? Even if I want to browse my collection, I usually either search for the specific folder or scroll down to find the latest added content. However, as it stands now, if I don't enable that section as shown in Figure 1, the "Continue Watching" row doesn't update for that folder. Sorry, but to me, this makes no sense and seems illogical. On the current Android TV version, this requirement doesn't exist (and rightly so). On Android TV, regardless of which of my 20 folders I am watching content from, the "Continue Watching" tile automatically appears on my Home screen so I can resume playback, without me having to pin the folder itself. Please don't get me wrong, Luke, but I see this as a complication rather than a simplification. It forces me to keep every single created folder active on the Home screen; otherwise, if I watch something from a "disabled" folder, I lose the ability to see it in "Continue Watching" on the Home screen. I hope I have explained the issue clearly. Have a great day, Luca

You that link you passed me is only used to sort the contents in the home, I repeat it even if you enable the "continue to watch" in that screen then you have the relative folders of the recents in disabled on the Home the "continue to watch" will not be displayed. Try it and see for yourself, and I repeat this thing has no logic, the "continue watching" must be in the independent Home screen if the recents are active or not.
Neminem 1516 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Screenshots would help understand your issue Have you tried this?

What you're showing me are the server options where my folders are already enabled by default, and in that section, "continue watching" is active as the second option after "my media." But since the first post, I've been talking about the app, not the server options. So, if you go to the Android app, go to the app settings, then go to the Home options, and you don't want to keep "recently added" enabled, thus excluding them from the Home screen, then, I repeat, the "continue watching" feature no longer works. I hope I explained myself clearly.

However, with the changes in the home screen settings that are coming, I think your issue will be moot. I'll take screenshots as soon as I can so then you understand. I wrote to you that if you go to the settings of the Android app and then go to the Home settings and scroll you will see that you will find for each folder if you want to enable recents or not, if you have enabled that particular folder in the recent content then the "continue watching" feature on that folder will work correctly and will be displayed in the Home, If you disable that particular folder from recent content and therefore from the home automatically there will be no "continue watching". If you look at my first post that I wrote here there is the screen and as you can see the option is enabled, and if you read it is also written, the recent folder if enabled will be displayed in the Home and will give the possibility to see the "continue watching" content, if instead that option is disabled the "continue watching" content will no longer be available. As I said, just try. As soon as I can I will make screenshots so that you can understand, since I didn't succeed, but in the first post I made I thought you understood

Alright, thanks for that explanation. That issue is solved by the new home screen design. 1
