austie 4 Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Hi Guys, I'm curious if anyone has any suggestions on the best way to setup a library setup for various media as recently after adding another share location A-M & N-Z for my movies, tv show & music I ran into an issue where I lost all my previous content via when it was scanning new files. I ended up having to restore last nights backup which brought all content back but it's removed images and did some funky stuff to the content. It's slowing being fixed by a metadata/image refresh request. But as my NAS's where running low on space I bought an expansion unit and setup folders to share link my other 2 NAS. So now in the 3 categories I have x6 locations 3 for each of the A-M or N-Z If I was to create a separate media type for each of the shares so they were only having a A-M & N-Z will emby group all 3 types into 1 folder for end users to view? I've not been able to work this out sadly attached is an example of what the share setups currently look like. Any help/advice be greatly appricated.

Are you able to set it up like you already do for them with the A-M / M-Z folders but instead of all 3 locations in 1 container can you you have a Movies A Movies B Movies C etc. group that emby would be able group and display on the main page as just 1 Movies folder?

Do you mean 1 Library? If so, then yes. Your example should do that, but there is one BIG problem: you have “/share/Movies /N-Z” listed twice! That may corrupt your database!
austie 4 Posted January 24 Author Posted January 24 There isn't actually 2 of those shares the one with the black line through it is a remote mount to my 2nd NAS that has the same movies/TV Shows/Music folder set up As the new storage pool on the main NAS has the expansion box it couldn't have a folder called Movies, TV Shows or Music so it's been changed to be unique. Currently I have 1 library with 3 different storage locations (Storage Pool 1 & 2 on NAS 1, Storage Pool 1 on NAS 2) and until I recently added the new storage pool 2 I had no issues with anything So is emby able to have x3 multiple library's of the same content type (ie. Movie location 1, Movie location 2 & Movie location 3) but show it as 1 grouped library for the users? 1

austie 4 Posted January 30 Author Posted January 30 Thanks @Lukethats what I thought and had setup. Everything was fine until i added that expansion to the primary NAS and lost the libraries for some reason, been a week now and it's all rebuilt finally 1
