justinrh 259 Posted January 22 Posted January 22 (edited) Any way to know why ELR S07:E25 was not recorded last night? logs from the past few days embyserver-63904619868.txtembyserver-63904550400.txtembyserver-63904464000.txtembyserver-63904620779.txt Edited January 22 by justinrh
Luke 42077 Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Hi there, was it scheduled to record prior? How have you configured the series recording?
justinrh 259 Posted January 22 Author Posted January 22 Luke, Luke, Luke. The series is configured to record, if that is what you mean. I don't know if it was scheduled auto-magically beforehand.
Luke 42077 Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Quote I don't know if it was scheduled auto-magically beforehand. OK that is kind of important to know. I would keep an eye on it going forward.
justinrh 259 Posted January 22 Author Posted January 22 Well, that's nice for me to have to bird-dog this, but is there nothing you can discover that might find root cause? Is the info you seek not in some log?
emveepee 132 Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Do you have any logs for 8:30 pm (scheduled time) when Emby would have been running 2026-01-21 19:32:59.226 Info Main: Shutdown complete 1
justinrh 259 Posted January 22 Author Posted January 22 (edited) @emveepeethanks for taking the time to look. Strange that it would have shutdown right around that time. I didn't get the next log because Emby labeled it as "1/22/26, 12:00 AM", but it actually is from 1/21. embyserver-63904636800.txt Edited January 22 by justinrh
daldana 122 Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Weird thing is that there were recording timers created for season 8 episodes, but none for season 7. 1
justinrh 259 Posted January 22 Author Posted January 22 @sa2000any way to know if it was scheduled and why Emby didn't attempt to record?
sa2000 673 Posted January 23 Posted January 23 12 hours ago, justinrh said: any way to know if it was scheduled and why Emby didn't attempt to record It appears to be the same reason as was for the 2-part Italy episodes you had in this forum topic and reproduced by me here Basically we have an issue where we appear to be going by the episode title when determining if we have the episode already. Both S07E24 and S07E25 have the same title but is in 2 parts There is already an open issue on this with the Emby Server team The diffs between the 2 airings guide data for S7 E24 and S7 E25 are Both airings have this episode title "episodeTitle": "Robert's Wedding", 1
justinrh 259 Posted January 23 Author Posted January 23 (edited) @Luke need to get this in the next update Thanks again, @sa2000!! Edited January 23 by justinrh 1
justinrh 259 Posted January 26 Author Posted January 26 (edited) @Lukethis happened again! I've got a bunch of 'part 1's and no part 2's. left shows actually recorded, right shows scheduled to record Edited January 26 by justinrh 1

justinrh 259 Posted Friday at 10:22 PM Author Posted Friday at 10:22 PM (edited) I have had "1993" up until that day; there were other S09 episodes prior to E11. channel W34EY-D 38.9, Huntsville, AL 35810 recorded 2-12 AM today they all went into 1993, no non-dated folder today no change in Emby server Edited Friday at 10:24 PM by justinrh

See if there are any embyserver log files going back to the times when S09 E12 and E14 were recorded
justinrh 259 Posted Monday at 10:25 PM Author Posted Monday at 10:25 PM All three of the shows were recorded the same day. Thanks for looking at it, sa.
sa2000 673 Posted Tuesday at 09:13 AM Posted Tuesday at 09:13 AM 10 hours ago, justinrh said: All three of the shows were recorded the same day. I suspect there were issues encountered when interrogating thetvdb and themoviedb on that day when the recordings were made. Next time you have issues like this, save the logs immediately in case they are needed. PS - you can change the default 3 day purge of emby server log files to, say, 7 by editing this file when the server is shutsown C:\Users\adminperson\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\config\system.xml and replacing the "3" with "7" <LogFileRetentionDays>3</LogFileRetentionDays>
