FabLap 0 Posted January 19 Posted January 19 In Reference to another Topic: I have the same issue and even traded in my old Fire Stick… but anyway, now I’m trying to find a way to use Emby on my new Fire TV Stick 4K Select with VegaOS. I can download the app “Quasi TV” from the app store, and it is supposed to be connectable to Emby. But for me this doesn’t work — neither via direct IP input nor through Emby Connect. Both ways end up with a strange error saying: “can’t access your server <IP Address> from IP 172.17.0.x” (multiple ports and the last IP digit keeps changing). Has anyone experienced this before and already found a solution? My Emby Servers is running on my synology NAS on Version 4.8.11.0
Luke 42077 Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Hi, what about using a dlna app with emby server's dlna server feature?
FabLap 0 Posted January 20 Author Posted January 20 good idea, but i can't find any. The store seems to be super restricted. No Kodi, no MythTV, not even VLC is available.
Neminem 1518 Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Are you using docker? 172.17.0.x is usually ar docker network address.
FabLap 0 Posted January 20 Author Posted January 20 Yes I'm using docker on the NAS, but emby server was installed via the packet center without docker.
Neminem 1518 Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Hmm odd. That ip do you access your nas from? Try with that.
FabLap 0 Posted January 20 Author Posted January 20 No my NAS and the Firestick aswell got a normal home IP (192.168.x.x) from my Router (double checked in the router), but the error on TV screen says, that connecting failed from IP 172.17.x.x.
FabLap 0 Posted January 20 Author Posted January 20 (edited) yes that's what i'm trying. But the fire tv stick gets a timeout after 10 secs saying it can't connect - and from another IP than the network IP ... 172.17 instead of 192.168. ... No idea why... Edited January 20 by FabLap
