tongeha 2 Posted January 19 Posted January 19 I have 2 mpegts streams from the same provider. One will play in emby, the other will start and play for a few seconds and freeze. The bad stream will play in VLC and FFPlay with no issues. ffprope of good stream: Stream #0:0[0x100]: Video: h264 (High) ([27][0][0][0] / 0x001B), yuv420p(tv, progressive), 1920x1080 [SAR 1:1 DAR 16:9], 60 fps, 60 tbr, 90k tbn Stream #0:1[0x101](eng): Audio: aac (LC) ([15][0][0][0] / 0x000F), 48000 Hz, stereo, fltp, 128 kb/s ffprobe of bad stream: Stream #0:0[0x100]: Video: h264 (High) ([27][0][0][0] / 0x001B), yuv420p(tv, top first), 720x576 [SAR 16:11 DAR 20:11], 25 fps, 50 tbr, 90k tbn Stream #0:1[0x101](NAR): Audio: mp2 ([3][0][0][0] / 0x0003), 48000 Hz, stereo, fltp, 128 kb/s (visual impaired) (descriptions) Any clues on how to make this work?
justinrh 259 Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Is Emby trying to transcode? Emby folks will want all related log files from the server and want to know what client you are using.
tongeha 2 Posted January 20 Author Posted January 20 Same behavior when running emby in windows (4.9.1.90) or ubuntu (4.9.3.0).

Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!
tongeha 2 Posted January 20 Author Posted January 20 Server has the option to play the stream as mpegts or hls. I get the same behavior when using hls. ffprope of bad stream using hls. Luke 42077 Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Hi, have you updated to Emby Server 4.9.3? Has that helped?
