JBowen37 1 Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Hello, After updating to Emby app version 2.2.8 on my Samsung TV, I can no longer connect to my Emby server. Prior to this update, everything worked flawlessly with no issues. What makes this particularly puzzling is that I have another Samsung TV in my home running Emby app version 2.2.5 that continues to work perfectly fine with the same server. **Device & Software Details:** - Samsung Model: QN77S95CAFXZA - Samsung Firmware: T-PTMCAKUC-0080-2024.0 - Emby App Version (affected TV): 2.2.8 - Emby App Version (working TV): 2.2.5 - Emby Server Version: 4.9.3.0 Has anyone else experienced connection issues after updating to app version 2.2.8 on Samsung TVs? Any suggestions for troubleshooting or resolving this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help!
Luke 42077 Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Hi there, what exactly happens when you try to connect?
JBowen37 1 Posted January 19 Author Posted January 19 (edited) After entering my server host and port info and clicking the connect button, it immediately returns the "Unable to Reach Server" screen. I just tested connecting on my phone (Galaxy s23 ultra) via the emby app, and was able to connect no issue. It also seems my 2nd samsung tv running 2.2.5 is now unable to connect as well, so not sure what to make of that. Edited January 19 by JBowen37
Luke 42077 Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Are you sure you entered the correct server info? What did you enter?
Solution JBowen37 1 Posted January 19 Author Solution Posted January 19 (edited) Yup, server info was correct. I was able to debug and this was an ssl cert renewal error I was failing to diagnose further upstream. Apologies for the inconvenience. Edited January 19 by JBowen37 1
