dadthetvisbroke 0 Posted January 18 Posted January 18 (edited) I run two unraid servers for redundancy. I'm looking at jumping to emby, but I would like to know if I can manage/run multiple emby servers from a single subscription/lifetime license. I also see something about replication, can I replicate content from one server to another? Edited January 18 by dadthetvisbroke clarity
Neminem 1518 Posted January 18 Posted January 18 @dadthetvisbroke 1) I run two unraid servers for redundancy. I'm looking at jumping to emby, but I would like to know if I can manage/run multiple emby servers from a single subscription/lifetime license. You can use the same licens on all servers. But with the same client restrictions. server 1, 20 clients. server 2, 10 clients. Max 30 clients in all. AFAIK its like this. 2) I also see something about replication, can I replicate content from one server to another? I don't know what you mean? Sure you can share media between both server if that is what you want, just share it. But not database. 1

My understanding is if I load a file on one server, I can then tell it to replicate to another server?
sargenthp 35 Posted January 18 Posted January 18 Not sure if Unraid is Linux based... But you could use rsync to sync files from one system to another.

I'm making a mobile server to go in my van, just looking for easy ways to pick the media to go over. Right now I'm using file browser, but I'm always looking for newer, more streamlined methods to shuffle content around.

ebr 16169 Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Hi. What do you mean by "replicate"? There is no need to have multiple copies of the media as long as both servers have access to the media location. They can both point to that location. Just be wary of things like saving metadata to the media folders. Be sure only one of them is doing that. 2
