KrakaClue 1 Posted January 18 Posted January 18 Hi community, I would like to know if there is a better way to show multi-version of my movies. I actually use the name convention Emby(TMDb) proposed by trash-guides.info {Movie CleanTitle} {(Release Year)} [tmdb-{TmdbId}] - {edition-{Edition Tags}} {[MediaInfo 3D]}{[Custom Formats]}{[Quality Full]}{[Mediainfo AudioCodec}{ Mediainfo AudioChannels]}{[MediaInfo VideoDynamicRangeType]}{[Mediainfo VideoCodec]}{-Release Group} Each version of the movie I have are stored in a separate directory and I use the function "Automatic Grouping" to visualise them together (v4.9.x feature). What I expected to see: 1080p 4k Director's cut Final Cut .... What I see: Is there a way to visualise them better using the naming convention proposed by trash-guides? Example names: 1080p version of the movie: Big Buck Bunny (2025) [tmdb-12345] - [WEBDL-1080p][EAC3 Atmos 5.1][h264]-PromptOriginalEarwigOfAwe.mkv 4k version of the movie: Big Buck Bunny (2025) [tmdb-12345] - [MA][WEBDL-2160p][DV HDR10Plus][TrueHD Atmos 7.1][h265]-TheFarm.mkv Thank you Quote My Emby server info: - OS: Linuxserver.io docker image: docker-emby - Current version: 4.9.3.0
js28194 36 Posted January 18 Posted January 18 (edited) I don't know why you would want the tmdb id, audio and video codec in the filename as audio and video are already displayed to right of the filename in the web as you can see in your own example. tmdb id, meh, if named properly according to the naming spec's, then there is a link towards the bottom of the page with a tmdb link which you can click on and it will take you directly to that movie on tmdb. Same is true for collections if named properly and tv shows (tvdb). The only real value to add additional detail in my opinion would be "Directors Cut" or "Imax" for example Example Below: Black Widow (2021) Bluray-1080p Imax.mkv Black Widow (2021) WEBDL-2160p.mkv In my experience and preference, that is enough. Everything else is pulled using ffprobe and displayed in the web and links to tmbd / tvd / imdb are automatically generated. Another Example... I mean, I already know what movie I'm on the metadata next to the "version" is more than adequate to inform me. So All I really care about is 1080p or 4k or 1080p directors cut / imax / whatever. To each their own. Edited January 18 by js28194
