bardx 1 Posted January 17 Posted January 17 If I tell Alexa to play an Emby playlist, it announces the first (and only the first) song, saying the name of the artist and the title. Is there any way to disable this? Can this be configured somewhere? Is it possible to have Alexa just playing the songs without saying anything? Also, the behavior looks inconsistent, giving that the first song is announced and the others are not.
hatharry 113 Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Unfortunately this can not be disabled. The next release will be more consistent with playlists and include the playlist name.

I agree it would be better to supress thisĀ behaviour and add a function for "Alexa, What is playing" to get information when it is wanted. Currently you get the odd behaviour of "Alexa, ask mb home to play the song x by the artist y" and Alexa announces "Playing X by Various Artists"...i guess the Emby search may limit the ability to prioritise a match on both album artist and artist but announcing the artist rather than album artist might be within reach?
