CHA0SENG7NE 28 Posted January 16 Posted January 16 I am building my movie library. I would like to see Movies, 4K Movies Libraries on the home screen. But I want to see the 4k movies in the Movies Library too. Also the version will be combined. So I can select 1080p or 2160p in the Movies Library. Is this possible? Thank you in advance.
CHA0SENG7NE 28 Posted January 16 Author Posted January 16 My Initial thought was to add the 4K movie folder to the Movies library but thats doubling up, I can only imagine the issues this could cause.
pwhodges 2012 Posted January 16 Posted January 16 You could have just the movie library (with both resolutions), and when you want to see just the 4K movies, select the resolution from the filter dropdown at the top. Paul
CHA0SENG7NE 28 Posted January 16 Author Posted January 16 (edited) Hi Paul, absolutely but sometimes if Im watching at home on the big screen it would be nice to just click into a library. Especially for my kids, they wont apply a filter! Edited January 16 by CHA0SENG7NE
Luke 42077 Posted January 16 Posted January 16 The only built-in mechanisms are to choose to either merge them or not to merge them, and accept the trade-offs that come with either way. What you're asking for is to to merge them but still see them separated, and there currently is not a way to do that. His suggestion to use filters would work. Also you could create a collection called 4K Movies and add movies to it. This would require manually adding them though.
CHA0SENG7NE 28 Posted January 16 Author Posted January 16 Ok thanks. What would happen if I added a 4k library and then added again to the movies library. Would this break the database?
