supersaugi 9 Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Hello, Can I set Fire TV to always transcode? Because currently it plays via DirectPlay and therefore often freezes (connection via the internet). Can I perhaps do this on the server side or on Fire TV?
ebr 16169 Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Hi. Just change the quality setting in the app to whatever you feel is appropriate.
supersaugi 9 Posted January 16 Author Posted January 16 Why doesn't it do that automatically? When we test it via the browser, it works perfectly.

Luke 42077 Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Hi. Can you try searching for our standard android app (Just "Emby" on Amazon and "Emby for Android on Google) on the same device's app store and see how that compares? Thanks.

Luke 42077 Posted January 17 Posted January 17 OK let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!
supersaugi 9 Posted January 29 Author Posted January 29 With my friend, if you manually set the quality to 1080p50, it works, but if it's set to auto, it stutters because DirectPlay does it without transcoding.

Hi there, please attach the Emby server log from when the problem occurred: How to Report a Problem Thanks!
Zaryt 0 Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Simply adjust the app’s quality setting to what works best for you. Choose the option that feels right for your viewing experience.
