Richard Branches 330 Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Have you heard about Eclipsa Audio?, I'm sure you have, but in case you still haven't, you can check it out here: https://opensource.googleblog.com/2025/01/introducing-eclipsa-audio-immersive-audio-for-everyone.html And here: https://opensource.googleblog.com/2025/06/introducing-open-source-daw-plugin-for-eclipsa-audio.html Apparently, the only container with support is MP4 which can be uploaded to YouTube since it already supports the format that can be played back on 2025 Samsung TVs and soundbars, the format is also supported natively on Android 16 for mobile and TV and it's currently rolling out on some LG TVs. Martin Rieger, a 3D audio expert, created some files for testing in that container which can be downloaded below. More info about his video tests here: https://www.vrtonung.de/en/immersive-audio-demo-test-iamf-spatial-sound-with-open-tools-7-1-4-ambisonics/ 1 - Stereo.mp4 2 - 5.1.mp4 3 - 5.1.2.mp4 4 - 7.1.4.mp4 5 - First Order Ambisonic.mp4 6 - Third Order Ambisonic.mp4
Richard Branches 330 Posted January 21 Author Posted January 21 I received a firmware update on my LG TV today which finally adds Eclipsa Audio support, however, since the Emby app still doesn't support the codec, when I attempt to play any of the above videos an error message is displayed. I hope you implement it. Thank you. 1
