is there any internal media id stored and managed by emby ?

Hello.

Due to some crossovers episode between distinct series, I imagine to manage them as specials by duplicating the crossover of 1st serie to specials folder of 2nd serie and vice versa. Then I can manually adjust order in metadata for each episode.

By doing this the same episode will be stored in different locations in the same TV Shows library, BUT with distinct metadata : especially the one to order it properly inside the whole season of each serie.

Will it work fine if I proceed like that ? or does it result in a duplicate same file internally speaking and only one version of metadata for it ?

Hi, yes that should be fine and they don't be duplicated internally.
