garegina 6 Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Hello All I updated my Qnap from 4.9.1.90 to 4.9.3.0. It played everything well before the update. All avi,s 4k and 1080p had no issues. Now after updating I get either one of two messages depending on which sony tv i using. One is "too many errors giving up" or "no compatible streams found". I have rescanned the library files. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks .
Luke 42077 Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!
garegina 6 Posted January 11 Author Posted January 11 Thanks Luke I am using the account called MEO. Emby was working perfectly. I had 4.9.1.90 beta I think and wanted to install a stable version so I waited and when I saw 4.9.30 was released I updated. After the update Emby loads OK, shows all library's but when I click on one of my movies (these are holiday videos so many are 1080p and avi's and some 4K) I get a spinning blue circle for about 10 to 12 seconds then says too many errors I'm giving up. The file I'm trying to play is an mkv 1.5 gig and 720x576. Its plays from the NAS on my PC. I use to play on emby ok before the update. I have removed emby from my qnap, restarted it and install emby and then restored from a backup and same issue. The photo of the TV shows the error and also the movie is showing resume from 3:47. embyserver.txt ffmpeg-transcode-ff2a8e30-ef92-4649-9bf2-6cccdb0b0058_1.txt
garegina 6 Posted January 11 Author Posted January 11 Thought I would try playing videos from my pc using web emby and I get this message. Seems to be missing cover art also

garegina 6 Posted January 11 Author Posted January 11 Thanks Neminem It was my bad. I renamed the folder from regina to .regina so it would be the first folder. Thank you so much for pointing it out. Feels like a Duh moment on my part.
