Lessaj 467 Posted January 12 Posted January 12 I don't know what dynu is, but if that's where you are getting your domain from and the domain is correctly resolving to your external address, then it should be working. Especially if other ports are working using your domain. If there's some kind of additional proxy setup they are doing then that's a different story, but if you used your external IP address directly and still couldn't connect properly then it's something else, I just don't know where.

Lessaj 467 Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Then it sounds like you've done everything correctly since all it's doing is Dynamic DNS, which you've indicated is correctly resolving to your external address, so that rules that out. The only thing I could recommend at this point is to try using the default 8920 instead of 443 but that doesn't seem likely to make a difference. You would need to update the port within your Network config (local and remote), and then adjust your port forwarding rule.

After messing around i now am able to connect to the emby app on my phone, along with my music app i use (symphonium) that has built in emby support, but if i try accessing the webisite directly its the same story. Except now if i access my site on the http with :8096 at the end i can? So its like, kinda "fixed" somehow now but not really? Its definitely not how it was. A ssl check on dynus tools shows the ssl cert is all good so im still not sure exactly whats going on here.
Luke 42077 Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Maybe you’re trying to connect to the web app using a different address than what the Android app is doing?

My music app points too www.mydomain.com and the emby app just loads up. If i go to my browser (on cell data not wifi) and go to mydomain.com nothing. I have to go to mydomain.com:8096 to get the non secure http site
Luke 42077 Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Quote mydomain.com nothing What exactly do you mean by nothing?
