looking111 30 Posted January 9 Posted January 9 (edited) I noticed that the Emby server on Linux also uses EXE files. I can see this in the firewall log: I then downloaded the file and checked it: MovieDb.dll_1.8.9.exe: PE32 executable (DLL) (console) Intel 80386 Mono/.Net assembly, for MS Windows, 3 sections So, if I understand correctly, MONO is being used here. Which runs on Linux. So this is a deliberate positive action, correct? I'm asking because all executables are blocked by the firewall. There is no Windows here. Embyserver 4.9.3.0. Thanks Edited January 9 by looking111
Solution Luke 42077 Posted January 9 Solution Posted January 9 HI, no, that is just the extension of the downloads. they are not actually windows executables.
looking111 30 Posted January 9 Author Posted January 9 Thank you for clarifying that. So I will create an exception for Emby. Have a nice evening. 1
