Embyserver on Linux uses EXE Files?

I noticed that the Emby server on Linux also uses EXE files. I can see this in the firewall log:

I then downloaded the file and checked it:

MovieDb.dll_1.8.9.exe: PE32 executable (DLL) (console) Intel 80386 Mono/.Net assembly, for MS Windows, 3 sections

So, if I understand correctly, MONO is being used here. Which runs on Linux. So this is a deliberate positive action, correct? I'm asking because all executables are blocked by the firewall. There is no Windows here.

Embyserver  4.9.3.0.

HI, no, that is just the extension of the downloads. they are not actually windows executables.
