Standard Premiere license carries a 30 devices limit. Emby Premiere Extended options carry 50 and 80 devices limits respectively. I have a lifetime license for 25 or 30 devices. If I pay for those 6, are more added, or is it simply a matter of switching to another license?

In that case you can't pay extra 6 USD - that is the price of the Standard license, you can't "add" devices to that plan; if you need more than 30 devices, you can only subscribe to Extended 50 or 80 devices plan with monthly subscription.
