Cinama Intros - playback error dialog even though it plays the intro clips

I'm setting up a new OSMC Vero V and am seeing something strange with the cinema intros. 

My emby server is configured to play 1 trailer and has both the custom intros and codec intros path configured. The intros work as expected when playing via web browser.

On the Vero V with the Emby for Kodi addon, it plays the trailer, then the custom/codec intros, but Kodi also pops up a playback error dialog before each of the intros (but not trailer). I'm hoping somebody has an idea on what might be happening?

In the attached kodi log line 1178 is where I start playing a movie. I see a bunch of errors sprinkled in the logs as it goes from trailer to intro clip to intro clip, but not sure what they're referring to...
