What is your Movie library setting for Collections?

image.png.2881724c13647df04926cbc569a410be.png

As Collections are metadata driven if the metadata does not have the <set> node to create the collection Emby can't group them.

Does the media show correctly in the Collections tab/library?

No, of course not.

I started refresh Metadata. Because there are many movies (1701) it will take a while. I will give you updated.

Thanks for your advice.

Edit: I forgot to tell you: I read "Revamped Grouping Into Collections" on https://emby.media/community/index.php?/blogs/entry/447-announcing-emby-server-40/.
I didn't knew that I have to do your mentioned settings.

Are those items added to any collections?

Hi.  Are you sure the scan is complete?

Yes.

I have changed settings (see screenshot) and started Refresh Mediadata for one collection. Now I have a picture for this collection. I will now refresh Mediadata for all my movies (again). I will keep you updated.

Edit: I started Refresh Mediadata with the following settings. I found out images has worked with previous settings but only for 2 collections.

Are you getting images now?

No. It looks like same settings for downlaoding images are wrong.

If I refresh Metadata for a single collection imgage will be downloaded. Do you have an idea which setting should be adjusted?

Edit: I have 157 collections.

What setting to do what, get an image automatically?

If that’s what you’re asking then please try a new collection and see if that gets an image.

Sorry for my late answer.  What I found out: It looks like emby is recognizing all collection correctly. But emby doesn't download the complete metadata and images.

Example: Alien Filmreihe. https://www.themoviedb.org/collection/8091-alien-collection

I then ran the Refresh Metadata function within the collection (see screenshot, around 1:28 PM) and emby then downloaded missing data like overview.

After refresh MetaData:

HI, is this a new collection that you just added?

No.

I decided to create a fake collection. I added a "Zoomania 2 (2025).ts" file. emby was able to create the collection correctly.

How can I get emby to recognize my collections correctly?

You have not show you how you have set this up.

If it set to 2 minimum and its a 2 movie collection then it will not show up until you add the sequel.

As I already posted, collections are now being created. But in most cases, things like description and pictures are missing.

If I manually refresh metadata within a collection missing data is downloaded. Since there are many collections, I want to do this job automatically.

EDIT: I decided to do this job manually. 158 items, a minimum of 3 clicks per collection....

It would have been nice if this could have been done automatically. I hope that all meta data will be downloaded for new collections

Hi, please let us know what happens. Thanks.

Also by the way you could have refreshed them all in bulk using the mutli-select tool.

I didn't know multiple selection was available. It would have saved me a lot of time.
