Do not hide "blocked elements" in the metadata manager

Hello, and to begin, best wishes to everyone for the new year.

Faced with the refusal to implement a feature allowing users to easily hide certain library items (see here: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/108904-option-to-manually-hide-individual-movie-show-or-episode-per-user/#findComment-1487055), I opted for the technique of adding a tag via the metadata manager to the items I don't want to see in my libraries, combined with configuring the hiding of items with this tag (I chose "hide4me") via the "Parental Controls" tab of my profile. Note that this only partially meets the initial need since other profiles are not able to hide elements for themselves, but it's a start.

However, I'm encountering a problem: once hidden, the items no longer appear in the metadata manager (neither in the "Movies" sub-section nor in "Folders"), so I can neither modify any information nor remove the tag if needed. Unless I first go to "Parental Controls" to disable the filtering on the tag "hide4me" and then reposition it after the change is made. This is inconvenient.

Wouldn't it be possible to display all elements in the metadata manager, including those that are "blocked"?

Thank you in advance for your attention to this suggestion/request.

Regards.

Don't block things for admin accounts?

Hi, yes I suppose a toggle in the metadata manager to see all would be helpful.

But if this if is not hidden from USERs the entire Parental Controls system becomes useless as one could just go to Metadata Manager and change metadata blocking it.

Right a toggle for admins only.

Thank you for your answers.

I have no idea how a non-administrator user can access the metadata manager... but if it is indeed possible (I would like to know how) then yes, it would of course be necessary to allow only admins to disable the filtering.

Regards.

True a user does not have access but at the same time I see no reason to apply restrictions to an Admin account as it is just a couple clicks to remove the restrictions as they are a Admin.

Opp should do admin work on a admin account.

And do its viewing on a user account, and restrict that 🤷‍♂️
